These sessions are meant to document your little one’s achievements, big or small, throughout their first year. These sessions are all about capturing your baby’s first year triumphs, such as when they’re able to raise their head while lying on their tummy (tummy timers), sit up for the first time (sitters), crawl (crawlers) or attempt those first few steps.
This session can be done in our boutique lifestyle photography studio, or at a fun and scenic outdoor location if the weather allows for it.
We do our best to capture the many nuances surrounding these three milestones, too, such as when they never seem to stop drooling, are putting everything in their mouth, or still struggling to keep balance while sitting up for the first time!
These sessions do not strictly need to happen at 3, 6, or 12-months of age. They can be scheduled whenever you feel like your baby is ready to master something new, or when you would just like to remember how your adorable cherub looked during a particular stage.
We love to keep the session simple and organic to capture the natural inclinations of your baby according to their developmental stage, but we are also open to styled shoots and planning the session around what your baby loves, such as books, toys, or styles of play your baby enjoys. You are not required to prepare anything besides your little one, but if you have a special item you would like to incorporate in your session, we can discuss that prior to our session.
Your Session
Our sessions are done in our boutique lifestyle studio using all natural light. Should you want it to be done at your place, please ensure your home is adequately lit by natural light. Our shoots will typically take place early in the morning, to make the most of the neutral color temperature of early morning sunlight. We typically conduct the session between 10:30am to 12:00pm.
These sessions are done over weekends.
Styling your session
We offer a wide selection of wardrobe choices for our mums & dads, though you are welcome to bring your own outfit!
Clothing choice is of the utmost importance at our photography sessions. When you are choosing a color scheme please bear in mind that these photographs will probably be hanging on your walls at home, so choose a colour palette that complements your decor.
If your spouse and older children are joining you in the photographs, it’s always a good idea for everyone to be colour coordinated.
We will have a 15-minute consult over the phone to plan our session and to run through the questionniare you will receive once your booking has been confirmed.

Note
- Setup – one creatively styled setup that could include a prop, (bucket, basket, sitting/crawling on the bed, etc) poses with sibling(s) or poses with parents. Parent setups always include mommy & baby, daddy & baby and family poses.
- All chosen images will be in colour and black & white with printing rights.
- All our Milestone Collections are inclusive of the $480 Session Fee.
- Please note that Bows and Ribbons Photography does not give out or sell RAW files/unedited work.
- We do not “return all photographs” because all our images are not deemed finished products until they have gone through the various stages of culling (removing duplicates), colour adjustments, digital editing, and finishing touches.

EXTRA CHARGES
- Session extensions may be chargeable at $120 per hour.
- There will be an additional charge of $120 when the session is done at your own place or in an outdoor location in Singapore.
- Our milestone session includes up to 4 members from immediate family (inclusive of the growing baby). Any additional family members joining the shoot (e.g. a third child, grandparent/s, an aunt or uncle) will be chargeable at $50 per person.
- Hair and Makeup is available starting at $230. This is subject to availability. You may book directly with our preferred vendors listed below. Alternatively, you can also arrange with your own artist.
PREFERRED HAIR & MAKEUP ARTIST
Milestone sessions usually last between 1 and 2 hours depending on baby. We always recommend milk and snuggle breaks during our sessions to ensure that babies are in their best mood. The good news is that most babies seem to like us, too, but parents are always encouraged to get in touch with their “inner child” to bring out the very best in their little ones. We will provide all the props, clothing, wraps, bonnets and headbands for your baby for our session according to our photography style. We will schedule a short phone call ahead of time to discuss the session and to ensure our expectations are aligned.
Capturing Milestones
Every baby is different and achieves their various milestones at different stages, so don’t worry if your little one isn’t enjoying tummy time just yet, or if they’re not sitting or trying to walk yet.
It’s perfectly okay to wait a few more months for a session with us.
There will be an additional charge of $120 when the session is done at your own place or in an outdoor location in Singapore.
On-Location
After Your Session
- Images take two (2) weeks to process for the first viewing. You will receive a password-protected online preview gallery where you can view the photographs from our session. We typically process about 10% to 15% of the images achieved during a session.
- You will be given two (2) weeks to select your favorite photographs.
- Final images are delivered in full resolution and canvas-ready. They will be available for download a minimum of six (6) weeks after you've selected your favorites from the preview gallery. Please note that the wait may be longer depending on our editing schedule, as each image is carefully hand-edited.
If needed, you’ll have the option to immediately download your selected images from the preview gallery once your choices are finalized.
- All final images will have been individually hand-edited by us, and are never outsourced, to ensure that they meet our highest artistic and consistency standards. This may result in occasional delays depending on our workload, but this is because each and every image is created entirely by us, from our camera to your final gallery.
- Your {Memory Box} with your prints of all your selected images will be sent to your home via registered mail two (2) weeks after you have downloaded your final images.
